    Haydn - Beethoven - Brahms : filiations
    MARIE-JOSÈPHE JUDE, pianist
At 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm

"...every cry of this deaf man who heard God struck my soul directly. Beethoven's forehead was sweating on my crushed heart... admiration and love were crushing me. " (Bourdelle)

Bourdelle will have been one of the great singers of the cult of Beethoven. Nearly 80 sculptures, not counting drawings and pastels, form in his work as many variations on a face marked by the signs of genius.

In resonance with the hanging that the museum is presenting around some of these figures of Beethoven to celebrate the Year of Beethoven, the pianist Marie-Josèphe Jude has conceived a musical tribute to the composer that underlines the interplay of filiations. Beethoven's famous pieces - Sonata Appassionata, Sonata Pathétique, echo Haydn's Hoboken Sonata, while Brahms' Klavierztücke opus 118 are part of Beethoven's musical posterity.

Duration: 30 min - Reservation is highly recommended. Free admission within the limit of available places
